Stein sighed, looking down at the mess on his desk. Flecks of tobacco and torn bits of paper littered the top of it, some of it getting between the keys of his computer. The filter was still squeezed between his fingertips.

His hands were itching. A momentary spasm of movement had reduced a perfectly good cigarette to the mess on his desk before him. All shredded and torn apart, just like he would like to do to...

The doctor sighed and leaned back in his chair, rotating around and flicking the useless remainder into the trash bin. His fingers drummed restlessly on his legs, itching for something to do. Spinning around back to the desk, he opened the drawer, carelessly dumping the remains of the cigarette back it; his next patients would be here soon, so he needed this cleaned up.

It was as he was turning over his keyboard, shaking out the bits of tobacco that his eyes fell upon it, caught by the gleam of metal. A scalpel, simple and sharp, lying there among the pens and paperclips like it was just another piece of stationary. It would be so easy, once he was alone with the patient...

At the knock at his door, he slammed the drawer shut, backing away from the desk and spinning about in his chair before coming to a halt facing the door.

"Come in," he called, a bright smile painted on his face for whoever the nurse was escorting. Ah, just a little longer before the day was over...

All in all, it had been a pretty quiet day so far. As Wilson returned from the second floor patio to his office after lunch, he realized that it made sense, considering it was a Friday. Not that he imagined most of the patients here were too on top of which day it was. Still, it was possible the nurses did what they could to keep everyone calm before the excitement of their field trip day.

Wilson always considered wandering around on Saturdays to see if he ran into any of his patients, but he tended to back off at the last minute. He thought it might be similar to running into a teacher outside of the classroom -- not necessarily the most comfortable experience for his patients.

He'd just have to wait and see, then. Staying cooped up in his room wasn't very entertaining, either.

For now, though, he was back in his office for the last patient of the week. According to his schedule, it was a Sean Inoue, also known as Shinji Ikari. The boy had serious issues with socializing and a rather disturbing set of delusions on top of it all. Not an easy case, just judging from what the file had to say.

Wilson would have liked to end the week on a good note, but he wasn't sure how likely that would be. Nonetheless, he sat at his desk and waited patiently for the boy to show.

His first session had been standard. A quiet patient and a well-meaning doctor who had done his best. Nothing of real merit or interest for Jizabel. For every interesting patient there had to be one who wasn't, he supposed, although there was something to be said for Mr. Reynold's appearance at least. He could look into that at a later time. For now though, he was prepared for the last sessions of the work week.

Another round of new patients, it seemed, would be his last. Hopefully one of them would be able to make up for his earlier session, or else manage to at least speak without sounded as though he might be sick right there. Jizabel was in no mood for another barely responsive patient.

Hey, I need some time to work on some things and think over some things, so I'm calling a hiatus for all my characters without plans.

This only effects Sai, Leon, and Cloud. I'm still willing to do backthreads and I'll definitely be doing my doctor shift, so Mohinder will be posted. Heat has plans I don't want to cancel, so he'll still be out, too.

This will only last 4th shift.

I found info about people showering with bandages and slings, but I couldn't track down anything about drugged-up people. Would someone feeling the effects of sedation still be made/allowed to take a shower? If he does have to take one, will the staff try to help him, give him a special setup, or anything? If he's not showering, where will they stick him, the Sun Room?

If he's not (last 'if,' I promise XD), Wariena, how would you like to work out Mello's meeting with Lunge?

Hey y'all, I'm back from my hiatus (which did run a bit longer than planned, heheh ^^;; yay school.) This affects Gai and Ritsu, and as far as I know I owe Kagura and Ranulf some back-threading ^^

I also wanted to call some slow posting until March 30th or so~ I'll still be posting but things might come up that would make it a bit harder to respond as quickly as I normally could. (Then I'll likely go on full hiatus from the 31st to the 6th of April~ con time 8D)

Sorry and looking forward to getting back on track!
